What are your hours?

Where can I park when I visit ASLD?

There are two small lots, one to the south and one to the north of ASLD’s property, which are first come, first serve at all times. Free street parking is also available with street sweeping restrictions the first week of each month (be sure to check the signs posted on each side of the adjacent streets).

Can I receive a copy of the current course catalog?

The current course information can be accessed via our SEARCH FOR CLASSES feature here on the website. If you would like a printed copy, please call the main office 303-778-6990.

How can I make sure I'm receiving ASLD's emails?

Email servers are increasingly setting up roadblocks to deter unwanted emails from cluttering your inbox. Unfortunately, they can also deter mail that you WANT to receive, too.

Fortunately, you can “whitelist” URLs to ensure delivery. Find your provider from the list below, and follow a few simple steps to let them know that a certain URL – like ours – should be delivered to you.

How do I find out about special events and exhibitions at ASLD?

The best way to be notified about upcoming events is by SUBSCRIBING TO OUR E-NEWSLETTER or you can check out our EVENTS PAGE.

Can I earn credit for my classes?

The Art Students League of Denver periodically offers classes for graduate credit through Adams State College. When available, classes are noted in the catalog and online. A Certificate of Course Completion is available for CDE teacher re-certification upon request at the Registration Office.

When is Summer Art Market this year?

Summer Art Market is always the second weekend in June. The most up-to-date information can be found on our SUMMER ART MARKET PAGE.

Questions about Ongoing Classes and Workshops

What’s the difference between an ongoing class and a workshop?

Ongoing classes are designed to provide students the opportunity to have continuous learning in an open, individualized studio environment. ASLD members can prorate ongoing classes, which means you can sign up for only the classes you know you’re able to take during a given month.

Workshops provide an in-depth class experience that is progressive in nature and are offered for a finite period of time, usually from four to eight weeks. Students enrolling for a workshop are expected to attend all scheduled classes.

I’m not sure what class to take. Who should I ask for advice?

Whether you are new to the League or a current student, we are pleased to help you decide on your next creative step. Please inquire at the front office for guidance—we are always happy to assist!

Can I observe a class before I sign up?

Prospective students are invited to observe any of our ongoing classes. Speak to the instructor, get a feel for his/her teaching style, and observe the learning environment. Please call 303-778-6990 x0 to inquire about a class observation.

How do I know what to bring to class?

Art Students League instructors provide a supply list for their classes which you can view/print a PDF within each course description from our website or pick-up at the registration office.  Supply lists will also be emailed along with your receipt.

Do you have programs for kids and/or teens?

The Art Students League offers Summer KidArt Camps and Teen Studios June through August and ongoing classes and workshops for grades K-12 September through May. For more information about youth programs, click here.

What is the minimum age for a student to take an adult class?

Students who are 16 years and up are eligible to take adult classes. Students 16-17 years of age must PRINT AND SUBMIT A RELEASE FORM signed by their parent or guardian.

Does ASLD offer scholarships?

Scholarships are available for low-income adults and children because of generous funding from our donors and several foundations. Memberships may also be available through the Big HeArt program. VISIT OUR SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION PAGE.

What is ASLD's class refund policy?

How do I know if my class has been cancelled due to inclement weather?

In the event that the Art Students League has to close due to inclement weather, closure information will be posted on our home page at Announcements of cancellations will be also be listed on air and the websites of 9News, Channel 4, Channel 7, and Fox 31. We will do our best to notify of any closure at least 2 hours before the start of any class.

Questions about Registration

Can I register for classes online?

Yes! Most classes are available for online registration. You do not need to be a member to take advantage of the online registration system or to take classes at ASLD.  However, you will need to create an online account in order to register online. Can I join or renew my membership online?

Yes. ASLD has several membership levels available online for people looking to join or renew their membership. See our MEMBERSHIP page for more information.
