In this four-week workshop, we will visit the studios of local, full-time studio artists such as Peter Durst, Barry Rose, Janey Skeer, Shelly Schreiber, Cristine Boyd, Macy Dorf, and James Barnett. We will take a tour of the Robinson Brick company to view this industrial production and application of ceramics.

Japanese Raku Firing
Bob Smith Ability: Intermediate to Advanced
In this workshop, Bob Smith introduces students to the ancient Japanese art of Raku firing. Through demonstrations and hands-on experience, you will learn throwing, decorating, glazing, and firing techniques. There will be an emphasis on glaze theory and glaze mixing. Every student will take away an appreciation for this beautiful art form and its endless possibilities.
