Did you know that a flat of eggs is actually 30? In celebration of our 30th Anniversary, The Art Students League of Denver is pleased to partner with Colorado Egg Producers to host a juried show that celebrates the art of the egg. From the Fabergé inspired designs, to using egg tempera or simply incorporating the egg into your work, this exhibit explores all things egg!

This show is open to Colorado residents at least 18 years of age.

Our historic building is just one of many beautiful gems that make up this vibrant neighborhood.  For this exhibit, we are looking beyond our walls to feature work that exemplifies our diverse, ever-changing neighborhood of West Wash Park, Baker, Speer or Platte Park – also known as District 7. All artwork must include a brief statement or title further describing its connection to our neighborhood.

To enter your work in any Open Call exhibition:

  • Be sure your work is ready-to-hang; two-dimensional work requires a picture wire. It is recommended that work be submitted wrapped in paper or bubble-wrap (wrapping will not be returned). Be sure your name and the title appear on the back.
  • **ASLD framing parameters:  Wired pieces only. NO sawtooth hangers. NO plastic frames.  Black or Neutral toned only.  All framed artwork that does not meet specifications will be subjected to be discluded at curator’s discretion.
  • Bring piece to the League’s main office during the drop-off dates listed. Due to limited space, we will accept the first 35-40 two-dimensional pieces as well as 10-15 three-dimensional pieces (size dependent). All work which fits the description of the exhibit will be accepted (one submission per artist per exhibition, please).
  • Fill out the Entry Form and Label Information in the office. Artwork submitted for Open Call exhibitions may be made available for sale at the discretion of the artist (with the League retaining a 40% commission on sales)–keep in mind that you’ll need pricing information to complete the form.
