ASLD is hosting a wearable art exhibition! We are asking artists to submit a wearable, fiber, custom jewelry or millinery art piece. Wearable art is defined as one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted objects that can reference sculptures just as much as clothing. For this exhibit, it is strongly encouraged to include your preferred form of display i.e.: dress forms, hat-stands, plexi-boxes or any other specialty pedestal. Additional questions contact,
Robin Whatley at

To enter your work in any Open Call exhibition:

  • Be sure your work is ready-to-hang; two-dimensional work requires a picture wire. It is recommended that work be submitted wrapped in paper or bubble-wrap (wrapping will not be returned). Be sure your name and the title appear on the back.
  • **ASLD framing parameters:  Wired pieces only. NO sawtooth hangers. NO plastic frames.  Black or Neutral toned only.  All framed artwork that does not meet specifications will be subjected to be discluded at curator’s discretion.
  • Bring piece to the League’s main office during the drop-off dates listed. Due to limited space, we will accept the first 35-40 two-dimensional pieces as well as 10-15 three-dimensional pieces (size dependent). All work which fits the description of the exhibit will be accepted (one submission per artist per exhibition, please).
  • Fill out the Entry Form and Label Information in the office. Artwork submitted for Open Call exhibitions may be made available for sale at the discretion of the artist (with the League retaining a 40% commission on sales)–keep in mind that you’ll need pricing information to complete the form.
