WHEN: Saturday, June 8 and Sunday June 9, 2019, 9:00am to 5:00pm

WHERE: West Washington Park neighborhood at 2nd St. & Grant St.

WHAT: The Art Students League of Denver (ASLD) will host its 27th annual Summer Art Market (SAM), an event with 200+ visual artist booths, artist demonstrations, KidART programming and food and beverage vendors.

This arts festival features a range of media, including ceramics, fiber arts, mixed media/book art, painting, drawing, photography, printmaking and sculpture. SAM is free and open to the public and features top-quality artwork from ASLD faculty and students for sale.

WHY? Summer Art Market is ASLD’s largest community initiative, inviting individuals to connect with artists directly and discover what ASLD has to offer. The Art Students League of Denver provides an inclusive art community where professional artists guide individuals of all abilities to reach their highest potential.

GREGORY DYE (Winner of ‘Best of Show’ at SAM 2018)

During the 2018’s Summer Art Market, Chris Stevens, cultural arts manager for the City of Greenwood Village, Henry Meininger, owner of Meininger Art Supplies, and Denver-based artist Sandra Fettingis, walked the show to choose the best artwork in several categories. The judges chose the award winners from more than 230 talented artists, featuring work from classic to contemporary.

First Runner Up: Julie Leidel
