WHAT: Fun, food and music for the whole weekend!

The Art Students League of Denver is hosting the 27th annual Summer Art Market, a city-wide event with 200+ visual artist booths, artist demonstrations, KidART programs along with food and beverage vendors.

This annual arts festival features a range of media, including ceramics, fiber arts, mixed media, book arts, painting, drawing, photography, printmaking and sculpture. SAM is free and open to the public and features top-quality artwork for sale by ASLD members, faculty and students.

WHY?

SAM is ASLD’s largest community initiative connecting people to artists directly and helping them discover what ASLD has to offer—an inclusive art community where professional artists guide individuals of all abilities to reach their highest potential.

RULES FOR ATTENDEES

  • All bags, containers and packages are subject to search.
  • No coolers allowed.
  • NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL ALLOWED.
  • No glass containers.
  • Guests will not be allowed to carry alcoholic beverages through the exit gates.
  • No weapons of any type allowed.
  • No marijuana use allowed.
  • Pets should be left at home for their comfort and safety.
  • No scooters or skateboards are allowed inside the event.
  • Bicycles must be walked to and from the bicycle parking area, located at the corner of 2nd and Grant Streets.

GREGORY DYE (Winner of ‘Best of Show’ at SAM 2018)

In 2018, cultural arts manager for the City of Greenwood Village Chris Stevens walked with Henry Meininger, owner of Meininger Art Supplies, and Denver-based artist Sandra Fettingis, viewing all the artwork on display during the weekend. They selected awards for the best artwork in several categories, choosing winner from more than 230 talented artists creating a wide range of classical to contemporary artwork.
