Beginning in fall 2013, the Art Students League of Denver’s (ASLD’s) Board of Directors, Executive Director, Staff and Faculty engaged in a process to create the organization’s five-year strategic plan. The team examined ASLD’s 25 year plus history and its current status in the greater Denver visual arts community. Based on this information, the team determined a path forward. The process for accomplishing this work is laid out in this document, as are the complete findings and recommendations.

Teen Leadership at ASLD

Teens ages 14–17 have the chance to build their leadership skills at ASLD as Youth Representatives on the Board of Directors. On a team with other teen ambassadors, they work together to build awareness with other teens about ASLD.

“I’ve been involved with ASLD since I was 6. I wanted to give back and this was a way to do that and build community.”
– Carter, Youth Representative
