Kevin Snipes enjoys a nomadic life, constantly making art no matter where he is. He’s participated in several artist residency programs including the Clay Studio in Philadelphia and Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts in Maine. Kevin has exhibited both nationally and internationally including a recent solo exhibition at the Society of Arts and Craft, Boston; Akar, Iowa City; Duane Reed Gallery in St. Louis and, even further away, Jingdezhen, China. Kevin combines his love of constructing unconventional pottery with an obsessive need to draw on everything that he produces, creating a uniquely dynamic body of work.
Kevin was a 2019 Visiting Artist at ASLD, and we are thrilled to welcome him back in Fall 2021 as the first artist in our Visiting Artists of Color residency program.
