ALL THAT GLITTERS: A Holiday Salon Call Details

Because the holidays tend to conjure up a unique aesthetic of shiny, dazzling, GLITTERY things, we’re devoting a whole exhibit to it! Join us for our 2025 Holiday Salon, ‘All That Glitters’: A small works show open to all media. The objective of this exhibit is to highlight work that shines, dazzles and/or glitters! Submission form is available online September 29 - October 20, 2025: click here when call is open.  This exhibit is open to all media. Submissions that do not meet the theme and/or submission guidelines of the exhibit will be excluded at the discretion of ASLD and /or the exhibition curator.  

**We can’t tell you how to do what you do, but we encourage the glitter lovers to explore eco-friendly glitters

Eligibility: Active ASLD Members and Faculty

‘All That Glitters’ is an open call show for active members and faculty of ASLD. You may submit up to two pieces; however, only one submission will be accepted per artist. Emphasis for this exhibit will be placed on 3D works, with a limited number of 2D works accepted as space allows. The holiday salon is designed to encourage patrons to purchase original art for the gift-giving season. Artwork submitted for this exhibition must be available for sale, with ASLD retaining a 40% commission on sales. Artwork may not exceed $250.00. Check for sold artwork is sent out within 30 days of the exhibit closing. The submission form is available online from September 29 - October 20, 2025: click here when call is open. Medium: This exhibit is open to all media. Submissions that do not meet the theme and/or submission guidelines of the exhibit will be excluded at the discretion of ASLD and /or the exhibition curator.  

  • Each artist must complete the Submission Form and Loan Agreement Form here for entry online or in-person at the Registration office at time of drop-off.
  • You will be asked to upload a photo of each submission.
  • Please make your file name your name and/or the title of the piece
  • Art work should not exceed dimensions of 12x12x12
  • Work must be ready-to-hang or install.
  • Pedestals will be provided if necessary. Any additional equipment needed for display must be provided by the artist.


Artwork may be dropped off at ASLD’s Registration Office OCTOBER 22-26th, 8:30a.m.-6:30p.m.** Please note ASLD closes at 4:30p.m. on weekends.

Two Dimensional Art & Framing Parameters

  • All photographs or works on paper must be framed.
  • NO plastic frames. Black or neutral toned frames only.
  • Frames must be in good condition.
  • Works on canvas must be framed or have gallery-wrapped, finished edges with no visible staples.
  • Hanging wire must be firmly attached to the back with screw-eyes or D-rings with wire should not exceed the top of the frame.
  • NO saw-tooth hangers.
  • It is recommended that submitted works are wrapped in protective material such as paper or bubble-wrap (wrapping will not be returned).
  • Please deliver your work packaged as you would want a buyer to receive it.
