No formal sewing skills required. Beginning focused but any and all skill levels are welcome. We will primarily be using hand sewing techniques.

Let's learn sewing skills and use our imagination to craft some stuffed creatures! Campers will learn how to transform a 2-D image into a 3-D form, some beginning pattern drafting skills, and how to add embellishments to our new fiber friends.

Our first class will cover hand-sewing basics, some embroidery, button sewing, and how to join fabric pieces. Campers will construct a small creature from a provided template to practice our hand sewing skills before moving on to their final plush pal. We will then spend some time drawing possible ideas.

These images will be transformed into our patterns, that will become stuffed creatures. We will spend some time figuring out how to transform these images into 3-D objects. We will utilize some begining machine sewing skills to craft our final creature. Students will spend the remainder of their time decorating and constructing their creations as they see fit.

No sewing experience is necessary as we will be covering all basics. If you have hand and machine sewing knowledge, you are welcome to join and develop your skills. You can always learn something new!
