Come explore Earth (and beyond) with Captain Karmen! Use your imagination to travel some place new and bring it to life with art. Go from a meadow to a mountain, from the deep sea to outer space, using many art skills along the way. You'll get to draw, cut, and fold, or maybe paint, glue, and mold! Bring a snack and dress for a mess. Each class includes a short science or geography lesson, drawing practice, and making at least one art project to take home.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this course, students should be familiar with new art techniques, as well as a basic understanding of some of the elements of art. Students should also be able to connect art to another subject, such as science, engineering, or geography.
Supplies will vary by month. Students should bring a snack and dress for a mess.
