Learn how to oil paint! We'll explore representational painting in still life, portrait, figure, and landscape painting. We'll use simple visual structures to organize compelling compositions. We'll use techniques that come down from across the ages, and are used by painters as different as Van Gogh and Rembrandt. We'll learn to see as artists, and have fun doing it. There will be a live model for weeks 4 & 5.
