This user friendly printmaking process with a “gellie” plate is fun, intuitive and immensely satisfying. Using acrylic paint as our ink we will create prints with plant clippings- foliage, blooms, roots- on a variety of papers. Learning objectives include: Be familiarized with the gellie plate process and several basic techniques that produce good results, including layering and a simple hinge registration. Students will also learn how to glue a print on a wood substrate.
Participants will select one or two prints to adhere to small (6x6”) wooden art panels for finished ready to hang art pieces. The creative possibilities are amazing and endless! Join us and take home two finished botanical art panels.
