This charcoal class is the perfect introduction to the world of expressive artistry. In this course, I'll guide you through the fundamentals of using charcoal, paired with the finesse of brush techniques.
In this course, you'll get hands-on experience with charcoal and brushes, learning how to create evocative portraits step by step. We'll cover everything from the basics of portrait composition to techniques for capturing intricate facial details. There will be a live clothed model for these courses.
-18”x24” Charcoal paper pad
-Willow charcoal (preferably thin sticks)
-Compressed charcoal pencils and sticks
- soft, medium, and hard -3” or 4” house painting brush (cheapest one you can find at the hardware store if you don’t already have one)
-# 4 and # 10 acrylic or oil painting brush (from art store)
-Kneaded eraser
-Chamois cloth
