Using your own plates, we will explore some of the many different possibilities of using the technique of chiné collé in printing. After a few varied demos, we’ll get busy chasing dreams, making them come true.This class is for students who have their own intaglio plates. We will explore multiple angles of the chiné collé printing technique, then apply some of these ideas to the plates we have. We’ll talk about the history, work on wiping and printing, and have fun transforming art.

Must have intaglio printing paper, apron, rag, paper towels. Bring your printing plate/plates. ( chiné collé prints can be made without intaglio plates, but it was invented with etching and ingraving in mind)
