A flat sheet of paper, when it is folded, has three dimensions and can define its surrounding space as front/back or inside/outside. Starting from a simple accordion structure, additional folding and cutting will result in multiple sides or areas for images or texts to be incorporated. Open to all levels.
Overall, the participants will learn and explore at least three variable accordion books with enclosures, one with sewing pamphlet binding with accordion, and creative pockets or frames to accommodate small objects (see attached photo). Each morning, the instructor will present various books and narrative devices with inventive, fun, poetic qualities and potential for many other uses.
