In this two-session workshop students will make decorative paper that will be made into simple one-page books and covers. To inspire creativity, students will see examples of different qualities of decorative paper.During the first session, techniques will be demonstrated, and students will work to create a collection of different papers that will include rubbings, paste paper, stamping and Japanese methods.
At the second session there will be a demonstration of how to make a variety of one-page books. Students will make one-page books using our own decorative paper. This is a beginner class and does not require previous bookmaking experience. Students are encouraged to have fun with the process.
