This exciting class focuses on the study of the human form and the creation of a 12" dynamic clay sculpture as well as a silicon mold of the sculpture created in class. In weeks 1-4 of course, students will create a 12" figure sculpture in oil-based clay with the armature that is provided to the students. During this time students will be instructed on the fundamentals of how to work with oil-based clay, artistic anatomy and proportion, form, movement and composition. During weeks 5-8 of the course students will learn how to create a silicon mold of the sculptures created during class.
This class offers a rare opportunity for students to learn the entire sculptural process and have a mold which can be used to create finished works of art at the completion of the class.
All skill levels are welcome!
Armatures will be provided.
A list of mold making supplies will be provided to students during class.
