In this one day, 3-hour workshop, we will explore the art of collage while using found images from vintage LIFE and National Geographic magazines. Using provided collage making materials, students will be challenged to create an original collage or mixed media piece while incorporating deconstructed found images. A demo on glue methods and collage art making methods will be shown and discussed. Students will be given a guided prompt to work with at the start of the class. Using the provided collage making materials and vintage magazines images, students will discover new designs, compositions or even stories. Folders will be provided if students wish to work further on it at home. The workshop is meant to evoke bold imagination all while having fun!
