In this workshop, with an introduction to the basic Japanese calligraphy strokes as well as some free-style variations, the students will learn to practice some words in Kana (Japanese alphabets) or Kanji (Chinese characters) and be encouraged to explore ways to use the strokes of calligraphy in their own unique ways.
Please bring--
-1 newsprint pad (9x12 inches or larger)
-bamboo brushes and a paper weight (if you have them)
