Join us in celebrating miniature books in this one-day course.
We will create a miniature book and matchbox out of paper using non-adhesive techniques (no glue). Students will sew their books and create a pre-cut folded matchbox structure to house them. This class requires no previous bookbinding experience but does need a steady hand, attention to detail, and most importantly, a love for the small.
Basic experience with a needle and thread and folding paper along predetermined lines is highly recommended. Cutting with scissors and an X-Acto knife will also be a component of the class.
Tools: small metal 6" ruler, bone folder, xacto or snap blade knife, scissors (small recommended), pencil, metal triangle 3"
