Where water and wind wear away the land, paint the narrow, gently sloping strips of land along the water's edge as you learn how to create the illusion of distance, light and atmosphere. Whether using a barren desert coastline with beach grass or a rocky beach with seagulls, work with shapes, diminishing scale, and perspective to lead the eye and create the coast's feeling of expanse and grandeur. Edges and color temperature will be crucial as we explore sky meeting water and waves meeting land. Let the tide sweep you away capturing the ebb and flow of waves breaking shore! Reference material provided. Introductory watercolor experience needed.
