Placing something on a windowsill with the window as the backdrop shows off your favorite objects in a new way. This captivating subject makes for an excellent opportunity to learn how placement and size have a huge impact on the balance of the composition. Using the window as both a background and framing device, work with lighting, colors, and values to create something extraordinary out of the ordinary. Decorating your windowsill will unlock new subject possibilities for painting. Reference material provided. Introductory watercolor experience needed.
