This course is for youth ages 11-13.

Each student will take home an awareness of the art of handwriting, its history, privilege, appreciation, advantages, forms and practice. Starting with forming letters distinctly through technique and experimentation, each student will have the opportunity to trace and write while experimenting with various methods to create artful handwriting. Tools and various writing mediums for class are provided.

Classes will be held at Red Delicious Press located at 9901 E 16th Ave, Aurora, CO 80010

In The Art of Handwriting I will introduce students to the origins of handwriting and explore the development of it in its various forms, techniques, and materials through sharing examples and practicing on different mediums. My highest aim for students is that they walk away with understanding the significance of their own, unique handwriting and start to grow the passion, purpose and practice of writing by hand in work and play for a lifetime.
