Paper lithography is a technique where you use either a drawing made with oil pastel or a photocopied image to make a print. Using an ink made with linseed oil and Mason stains, we will make prints on soft clay tiles. This technique allows you to layer images and stains that will give you more creative possibilities when decorating your work. Students will leave this class with example tiles and the knowledge to produce your own prints! No prior experience in ceramics or printmaking required, just an interest in experimentation. This workshop does not allow students access to open studios unless concurrently enrolled in another ceramics class.

please bring Xerox photocopies to class that you would like to use in your work. The instructor will provide some, but if there are images you are specifically interested in, please bring those. All other materials will be provided.
