This is a suggested list. Please get whatever watercolor supplies fit your budget.
Paints:
Winsor Blue (green shade)
French Ultramarine
Cobalt Blue
Cerulean Blue
Burnt Umber
Burnt sienna
Light Red
Cadmium Red
Raw Umber
Raw Siena
Aurelian Yellow
Cadmium Lemon.
Optional paints:
Payne’s Gray (or Ivory Black)
Cobalt Violet
Viridian Green
Alizarin Crimson
Cadmium Orange
Titanium White
Students can get by with buying just:
1-2 blues,
1-2 yellows,
1-2 reds + umber & sienna.
Paper:
Bound watercolor paper pads. 9”X12” or larger. Cold press, Rough preferred.
OR:
Spiral book of watercolor paper. 9”X12” or larger.
Get whatever watercolor paper fit you budget.
Sketch book:
Drawing Sketch book: 9X12 or similar sizes.
Optional: Tracing paper: smooth surface, 11”X14” or similar sizes (this will be available in class as well)
Brushes:
Small variety of sizes with some large ones.
The Bamboo orchid brushes are wonderful. No need to get expensive brushes, the budget pre-flow are good to start.
Watercolor Palette:
Plastic,Tin, or Porcelain.
*Or* use dry paints with its own pallet.
Odds & Ends:
Cup for water
Paper towels or rags
Drafting tape (Optional, will be available in class)
Clips (if you use individual paper sheets)
Board for the watercolor paper
Pencil 4B, HB,
Kneaded Rubber eraser
Spray bottel (Optional)
Water container (Optional: fill with distilled water)
