This course will help build basic drawing skills, with a focus on portraiture and drawing what we see. Students will spend time learning about the elements of charcoal and specific techniques to add value. We will learn the grid method to help recreate an image, so each student must provide an image to be used in class as a reference. All images should be emailed to the instructor prior to class start date. The instructor will print each image and have them ready for artists to reference during class.
