Learn about soft pastels and technique along with the challenges of color, starting with a structural approach to figure drawing. Class will use live clothed models.
Learning Objectives:
1. Through demonstration from the instructor, students will learn about the soft pastel medium, and learn strategies for how to use soft pastels for creating successful figurative drawings. They’ll learn about color, value, and texture interpretation, as well as gain basic understanding of human proportion and gesture.
2. Students will get help and feedback from the instructor while they do their own drawings from live clothed models.
