The workshop includes demonstrations and discussions on: The interaction between different types of paper and wax pigment How temperature influences the outcome of your prints Effects achieved through encaustic medium and pigment Techniques for layering color Using stencils, string, and other tools creatively Recognizing when your work is complete Each day will feature demonstrations, personalized assistance, Q&A sessions, troubleshooting, and ample individual work time. By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a wealth of new knowledge and a collection of finished monotypes. This workshop welcomes all skill levels. Each day will begin with a demonstration of a technique and students will then have time to experiment with using this technique. Additional techniques and methods will be demonstrated that build upon one another as the day progresses. Difference types of paper will be introduced as will different tools.
