ASLD is excited to collaborate with the Museum of Miniatures Dolls & Toys for ‘Every Little Thing: A Mini-Musings Exhibit’. Come with us into the world miniatures to explore the unique art form and processes of making tiny art. From Dollhouses to miniature fine art works, block out the big distractions around you and hone in to enjoy every little thing. We think you’ll find that the joy is in the details! Online submission form will be available July 18 – August 4, 2025.

Every Little Thing: A Mini-musings Exhibit is an open call show to members and non-members of ASLD. You do not need to be a member or enrolled in classes at the Art Students League of Denver to submit work to this exhibit. Youth are also invited to submit artwork in this exhibit. Artists are allowed up to two submissions each. Artwork submitted for this exhibition must be available for purchase, with ASLD retaining a 40% commission on sales and 60% going to the artist. The online submission form will be available from July 18–August 4, 2025. The submission form may close early if there is no longer space available. Payments are made to artists for sold work within 30 days after the close of the exhibit.
All work should be approximately 1/12th scale.
The 1:12 scale is a traditional scale (ratio) for models and miniatures. In this scale (ratio), one inch on the scale model or miniature is equal to twelve inches on the original object being copied. Depending on the application, this scale (ratio) is also called one-scale (since 1-inch equals 1 foot). Every Little Thing is not a juried show. We are accepting all media types for this exhibit, as well as photography. Submissions that do not meet theme and/or submission guidelines of the exhibit will be excluded at the discretion of ASLD. Pedestals will be provided.
- You are allowed up to two submissions
- You will be asked to attach a photo of your artwork with your online submission form.
- Work must be ready-to-hang or install. (No sawtooth hangers)
- Any additional equipment needed for display must be provided by the artist.
Artwork submitted for this exhibition must be available for purchase with ASLD retaining a 40% commission on sales and 60% going to the artist. Artists are paid within 30 days of the exhibit close date. Online form will be available from JULY 18 – AUGUST 4. Artists will be notified of acceptance from AUGUST 6-7th.
You will be asked to submit pricing for your work at the time of drop-off where you will fill out an Exhibit Loan Agreement Form. You may also request this form via email (please contact Holly Hurd at h.hurd@asld.org) . For works that may require hanging, wire must be firmly attached to the back with screw-eyes or D-rings.
NO saw-tooth hangers.
It is recommended that submitted works are wrapped in protective material such as paper, bubble wrap, boxes, etc. Wrapping may not be returned.
Artwork may be dropped off at ASLD’s Registration Office AUGUST 9-AUGUST 16th, 8:30a.m.- 6:30p.m.* Please note ASLD closes at 4:30p.m. on the weekends.
