In this solo exhibition, Artist-in-Residence Juan Carlos Escobedo will present the body of work he's created throughout his ASLD residency.
Color Scheme artist-in-residence Juan Carlos Escobedo explores themes of race and class through mixed-media sculptural works. Escobedo utilizes materials such as cardboard and paper to create garment-like works that tell the stories of his family, migration, and his own experiences within primarily white art spaces. This exhibit will feature the body of work created throughout Escobedo’s time in residency at ASLD.
