How did you first get involved with ASLD and when?

I was accepted, and displayed work in the 2020 delecTABLE show. [John was also awarded the delecTABLE 2020 Colorado Award for his pieces in the show, UFO Cup, Plate & Bowl.]

How has ASLD shaped you as an artist?

Now that I am part of the ASLD team, I hope to slow my process down and focus on my refinement. Being an art fair artist for the past 6 years has helped my technical ability in producing a good pot with the amount of reproduction I was doing. Although I am happy with how my work looks aesthetically, my goal is to constantly grow and make better art. I am excited to be able to strengthen the quality of my work.

What faculty members have you taken courses with as ASLD?

I haven’t had the opportunity to take a class at ASLD yet, but I am interested in Printmaking, and Sewing classes!

What do you like about the ASLD community?

The ASLD community is very supportive. For me, the field of ceramics has always been this way, and to enter the League, where this is present as a job is fantastic. I am very happy to be involved with ASLD and truly feel that I belong here!
