Join ASLD in the South of France, at the beautiful La Napoule Art Foundation for a special atelier taught by ASLD faculty member Sammy Lee. Lee’s focus will be on creating a one-of-a-kind, unique artist book using mixed media techniques while responding to the beauty of the setting, its architecture, light, and the Mediterranean. You may work in your favorite media, including painting, drawing, cyanotype, and assemblage (with locally found objects). Lee will introduce her paper felting, casting, and accordion book structures to capture your stories in a special book format.
About La Napoule Foundation
Château de La Napoule is a museum and arts center located 8 km from Cannes, France. The Château de La Napoule is the primary facility of the La Napoule Art Foundation, a Denver-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit. This majestic compound, restored over a century ago by a pair of American artists, is now the serene setting for international artist residencies, workshops and contemporary art exhibitions.
