Spring 2027 | Join ASLD Faculty Member Christina Patzman in the south of France for a fiber arts adventure. We'll spend a week in Mandelieu-La Napoule, a small village outside of Nice, enjoying the French Riviera Spring. Chateau de la Napoule will be our homebase and a source of inspiration for our artwork. Each day will begin with a group breakfast. Christina will then lead us in a variety of hand sewing techniques, including visible & invisible mending, patchwork, embroidery, applique, and needle felting. Using items from the many gardens around us, we’ll create cyanotypes on fabric and natural dyes as well. You will have the opportunity to try your hand at an embroidered snippet roll or amulet. We’ll share home cooked lunches together in the afternoon, prepared by ASLD staff, and then take time to venture out on our own for more inspiration. Unless otherwise noted, dinners will be on your own, exploring local restaurants in town, or cooking in the fully equipped Villa Marguerite kitchen.
$2500 to hold your spot ($500 of which is non-refundable), full payment is due by June 15, 2026.
