As a part of ASLD’s Visiting Artist Series, Telagio Baptista will share more about his story, process, and inspirations during this lecture on July 18.
Recently relocated from Sacramento, California, Telagio Baptista, a former graphic design studio owner in Hawaii and professional golfer, now resides in Omaha, Nebraska, pursuing his passion for watercolor art. Recognized for his artistic talents since high school, Baptista earned a BFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts. He employs atmospheric techniques and a limited color palette to create captivating portraits, landscapes, cityscapes, and seascapes, infusing each piece with narrative depth. Baptista exclusively utilizes watercolor, finding its versatility ideal for expressing his creative vision. Committed to growth and innovation, Baptista offers private and group workshops, emphasizing individualized support and encouragement in his teaching approach.
Baptista’s work will be featured in the exhibit, 65 & Bolder. Join us for an opening reception on the evening of July 14. He will be leading a workshop at ASLD the weekend following his artist talk.
