Upcycling: How to Embellish & Enhance Clothes to Make New Creative Designs
ASLD welcomes eco-friendly artist and textile maven, Donna Altieri as part of our Visiting Artist Series. This series takes place over a period of 3 weeks beginning with a lecture Friday, May 3, 2024.
Donna’s workshop will be on the following Saturdays, May 11 & 18, from 9AM – 4PM. In this workshop students will deconstruct and/or reconstruct a favorite garment(s) to create a new one! Donna will share some of her hand painted, stenciled and other creatively embellished items.
Donna guides students through the process of reimagining and repurposing clothing. Donna will be available to students for shopping guidance outside of class time. Thrifting and junking is her passion!
This class is open to all levels of sewers.
