Flagpole Project
CALL FOR ENTRY OPEN THROUGH MARCH 31 | Fly your flag with us! We’re seeking original fiber artwork flags that tell stories of Denver’s history.
The ASLD Fiber Arts Studio is fully equipped with sewing machines, sergers, drafting tables, and sewing tools, so that students have everything they need to create a fully-finished project.
Students gain all the essential skills through projects ranging from simple bangles and rings, to cuffs and chunky necklaces.
In each course students design their own pieces from start to finish, thereby gaining insight into jewelry design as well as fabricating techniques.
Our alternative photography courses take you on a unique adventure with hand-applied photographic processes using historic chemical techniques and large-format cameras.
ASLD has a dark room and provides students with all necessary materials and equipment.
At ASLD we appreciate that creativity doesn’t fit inside a box, and we strive to provide opportunities for our students to combine their artistic skills in order to create something completely different. These courses are perfect for students looking to try a new medium and expand on their existing techniques.
