His art, using writing, painting, metal, paper and clay, speaks out against injustice and the forces of destruction, as well as illustrating the value of life and the importance of our environment. Ok-sang visits ASLD to discuss his alternative approaches to materiality.
OCTOBER 3–6, 2019 | Kevin Snipes enjoys a nomadic life, constantly making art no matter where he is. Snipes visits ASLD to demonstrate his high-energy methods for ceramics and storytelling.

AUGUST 23–25, 2019 | Dawn Williams Boyd’s artwork reflects her interests in American history as it affects and is affected by African American citizens, women’s identity and sexuality and politics. Williams Boyd visits ASLD to talk about how she uses fiber arts as her way to paint.
