Workshop will teach the foundations of quilling which entails rolling strips of different widths of paper into coils then manipulating them into shapes and gluing them to a surface to create representational or abstract imagery.

Quilling is an art form using rolled paper strips that are shaped and glued together to create decorative filigree. It has been around for hundreds of years - today it isn’t just for decoration. Elevated to abstract and representational 3D drawing with depth and dimension, these paper strips aren’t just for greeting cards anymore.

Students need to bring a piece of card stock or foam-core approx. 8"x11" in size or larger, glue stick.
