Understanding color theory in one of the most efficient ways to improve your artwork, but it can feel daunting and difficult to understand. This last part of a three-part course is an in-depth but beginner-friendly class that will help you relax any fears you may have about implementing color theory into your own works. Completion of Part One and Part two of this course and/or knowledge in color mixing and color theory is recommended but not required.
STUDENTS MUST BRING ALL SUPPLIES, but you are welcome to use whatever painting medium you’d like. Please also bring any reference photos, objects, or pervious artworks you would like to work on.
In this class, you will dive deep into the theory of color and how color effects the viewer. This final class pushes you to the next level as you make drastic and informed decisions about color in your artwork to invoke a certain look and/or feeling.

Day one: Color theory and psychology; Studying the works of great artists, this lecture style class is all about picking apart how color is used create completed artworks full of emotion.
Day two: Planning and Painting time; With the instructor and fellow peers around to provide feedback, you will plan and work on a painting of your choosing with a color goal.
Day three: Painting time; A day for continuing to work on your artwork followed by a friendly citric with fellow students.
You leave this class with a better understand of the psychology of color and the ability to apply color theory to your works. Again, NO SUPPLIES WILL BE PROVIDED, please bring all necessary painting supplies with you.

1st Class: Please bring paper and writing tool.
2nd/3rd Class: 2D media of your choice and all supplies needed to use it. Color pencil, pastels, markers, or any other color media are all good. Please make sure you have everything you need, no supplies will be provided. Bring reference photos if desired or current artworks you wish to apply color theory skills too.
