|
We will be using classical oil painting approaches to explore several different genres but focusing on figure and portrait. The beginning of the class will be designed to experience several techniques and methods. The class will culminate in each artist creating work of their own choosing.
Basic knowledge of oil painting is helpful but not required.
Oil Paint, Ivory Black, White, Cad Red, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Raw Umber, Blue, Green
Oil Paint, any other colors you like
Brushes
Palate
Jar, pasta sauce size is good, with lid
Linseed Oil
Gamblin Gamsol (turpentine alternative)
Canvases or panels or paper- gessoed and prepared to paint
Sketch paper
Charcoal
Cotton (no elastic) rags
