ASLD hosts a variety of exhibitions at our historic Grant Street location and in partnership with various creative spaces throughout the community. Representing the diversity of the thriving Denver arts community, our exhibitions also provide an opportunity to examine current trends and purchase original fine art from faculty, students, and celebrated artists from across the U.S.

In the Spotlight: New ASLD Faculty

ASLD is thrilled to invite our newest instructors for this exhibit to showcase their immense talent and the diversity of their specialized art forms. This will be in conjunction with ASLD’s annual Summer Art Market.

Summer of Play


ASLD is delighted to feature a special commissioned piece by the Ladies Fancywork Society. Their vibrant and colorful crochet work will be displayed alongside some of our summer KidART Camp and Teen Studio instructors, which will transform the unique ASLD gallery space into an immersive and interactive art installation that encourages touch and play!

Ladies Fancywork Society


Man’s Best Friend: Animal Portraiture: This exhibition highlights the many ways our talented community features animals as the main subject and focal point of their artwork.  February 22 – April 5, 2019

Works on Paper: This exhibit showcases the myriad ways artists in our community work with paper, and highlightes the enormous talent of our members and faculty at ASLD. Art Students League of Denver’s members and faculty submitted artworks including drawing, collage, printmaking, photography, paper constructions, painting, digital prints and other works on paper. December 7, 2018 – January 6, 2019

Encaustic – Contemporary Works: For this invitational group show, ASLD invited local artists working with or incorporating encaustic and/or wax mediums, including cold wax and mixed mediums. This exhibit sheds light on the intricate and dynamic nature of this ever-emerging method. October 12 – November 18, 2018

 Artists’ Book Cornucopia IX: an exhibit that showcases a broad range of Artists’ Books. From traditional codex, printed letterpress, to sculptural objects and one-of-a-kind editions, this exhibition is a cornucopia of engaging and intimate genres of Artists’ Books, allowing the viewer a rare opportunity to examine the works up close as selected by guest juror Sha Towers and guest curator, ASLD faculty Alicia Bailey.  August 24 – September 28, 2018
